The Analyst Role

Analysts play a central role at Cornerstone Research. As an analyst, you will work in case teams that vary in size and typically include an academic or industry expert, senior consultants, and multiple analysts. Within a case team, you will have the opportunity to make important contributions during all phases of the project—from developing case strategy and conducting analyses to preparing experts for testimony. Analysts are exposed to numerous types of cases across a broad spectrum of industries.

The Summer Analyst Experience

The summer analyst role closely mirrors that of the full-time position. As a summer analyst, you will work in case teams that range in size but typically include a faculty expert, senior consultants, and analysts. Within a case team, you will have the opportunity to make important contributions during all phases of a project—from developing case strategy, to conducting analyses, to preparing experts for testimony. Case work has both quantitative and qualitative elements, involving such key responsibilities as conducting financial and economic modeling, examining market and industry behavior, and presenting findings to colleagues and clients.

Following orientation and training, you will join case teams while continuing to learn new skills. You will immediately interact with senior consultants, experts, and clients for tremendous learning and development opportunities. Cornerstone Research also invests in analyst professional development through focused and ongoing training programs

Our Culture

Cornerstone Research analysts enjoy a dynamic work environment with a variety of opportunities for collaboration, collegiality, and professional development. As an analyst, you are paired with a senior consultant who serves as your advisor and helps to create work opportunities that support your interests and career goals. You will also be assigned a buddy to assist with more informal topics.

Cornerstone Research analysts are team players who work closely with one another, forming strong interpersonal working relationships. This collegial environment extends beyond the office in the form of firm-sponsored social activities. You could find yourself cheering on the local baseball team, chasing down clues in Central Park, or celebrating the holidays in style with your colleagues. Many analysts form life-long friendships during their time at Cornerstone Research.
