Education

Samid Hussain heads the consumer fraud and product liability practice at Cornerstone Research. He also serves on the firm’s executive committee and its conflict resolution committee. Dr. Hussain is recognized by Who’s Who Legal as a Global Leader among competition economists.

Dr. Hussain specializes in analyzing economic, marketing, and statistical (econometrics) issues in competition, consumer fraud, product liability, antitrust, healthcare, breach of contract, and intellectual property matters. He frequently consults on economic and marketing issues related to liability, class certification, and damages.

Dr. Hussain has experience in a variety of industries, including automobiles, tech, oil and gas, airlines, genetically modified crops, herbicides, and telecommunications. He has taught courses as a visiting lecturer at Stanford University and instructor at Cornell University.

Dr. Hussain has worked on prominent cases involving allegations of false claims, consumer fraud, product liability, product misrepresentation, product defects, and false and deceptive advertising. He also has substantial experience with antitrust and competition matters, as well as other high-profile litigation in a range of industries.
